The
Pak Tai temple was built in 1783. It is dedicated to Pak Tai,
the Taoist "Supreme Emperor of the Dark
Heaven."
The statue of Pak Tai has one
foot resting on the carapace of a turtle.
There is a small collection of turtles
in a concrete pit in a side area.
Unfortunately the husbandry leaves a great
deal to be desired, and the plight
of the poor animals is rather distressing.
