Juvenile Galapagos Tortoises
|
TortoiseAid is dedicated to educating the public, and to halting the exploitation of tortoises, turtles, terrapins, sea turtles and all wildlife world wide. Wildlife of all species face serious threats from habitat destruction, and mass collection to satisfy the pet, food, and medicinal trades. TortoiseAid will strive to assist all captive chelonia, as well as individuals wanting to help by providing the best advice available. We also defend those animals faced with less than humane care in retail establishments, food markets, etc.

As reptiles are helpless creatures and unable to defend themselves, it is up to US to make change for them. We need to give them a strong, pro-active voice where and whenever needed. Those wishing to join us will help us in ensuring the continued health and success of wildlife worldwide. The TortoiseAid Sanctuary/Rehabilitation Center is located in the Western Mojave Desert of Southern California. Many animals come to us in dire need of veterinary care, having become homeless, lost, injured, or displaced by habitat encroachment. We will always be here to provide these animals with expert assistance and loving care.
Annie Lancaster examining critically endangered Testudo kleinmanni at a live animal market in Cairo, Egypt. Tortoises sitting in wire cages with no food, water, or shelter from 120 degree weather... TortoiseAid strives to find many of these rehabilitated animals wonderful new homes with people qualified and committed to giving them proper care for the duration of their lives. For those animals with special needs or chronic medical problems, they will be welcomed to live out their lives in sanctuary. No animal in need is ever turned away. TortoiseAid maintains a no-kill facility and runs on private donations only. We are a non-profit California Corporation. Would you like to help? Please follow these links: |
